SBC Summit Rio 2026: Brazil, LatAm iGaming strategic epicenter
The Riocentro convention center in Rio de Janeiro opens its doors today to host a new edition of the SBC Summit Rio, an event that has established itself as the absolute benchmark for operators, regulators, suppliers, and affiliates in the sector. In its third consecutive year, the event projects a record attendance exceeding 15,000 participants over its three days, consolidating exponential growth after winning the "Exhibition Growth of the Year" award at the EN Indy Awards 2025.
A Regulated Market Reaching Strategic Maturity
Unlike previous editions, where regulatory uncertainty dominated the conversation, SBC Summit Rio 2026 arrives with a consolidated regulatory framework following the implementation of Law No. 14.790. This maturity is reflected in a technical and strategic agenda focused on business sustainability. Rasmus Sojmark, CEO of SBC, highlights that the industry is now seeking operational clarity, fluid dialogue with public policy makers, and deep connections with local partners in a market that "does not stop."
Technical Content Distributed Across Three Main Stages
The summit features an academic agenda with over 150 international experts who will address current challenges through three fundamental pillars:
- Leadership and Governance: The Leadership Stage will be the meeting point for leading operators and government representatives. Key figures from the Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gambling (IBJR), TurisRio, Kaizen/Betano, and the Brazilian Institute of Sports Law (IGE) will participate, along with authorities from institutions such as CAIXA, COAF, CONAR, and the Federal Police.
- Innovation and Technology: The Tech Innovation Track will focus on the application of artificial intelligence and the personalization of the player experience, critical tools for standing out in a highly competitive market.
- Financial Ecosystem: The Payments Track will analyze the evolution of the PIX system, open banking, and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) processes, seeking the necessary balance between transactional speed and fraud prevention.
In addition to these pillars, the Affiliate Leaders Summit and the Payment Expert Summit will be held in parallel, along with a special session dedicated to preparing the industry for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the first major sporting event under the licensing regime in Brazil.
Trade Exhibition and High-Level Networking
The Riocentro exhibition area brings together global giants driving the Latin American market. Featured exhibitors include Altenar, Amusnet, BetConstruct AI, Digitain, EGT, Evolution, Kambi Group, Pragmatic Play, SOFTSWISS, and Sportradar, among others. The space design is intended to boost business rounds, complemented by exclusive lounges and social bars.
The social agenda is another key element for visitors' planning. Activities begin today with the Opening Party at the Rio Beach Club starting at 4:00 PM, an ideal setting for informal networking. The grand finale will be on Thursday, March 5, with INFINITY Rio, a closing party at Riocentro itself featuring performances by Öwnboss and Marc Vedo.
