ICE Barcelona 2027 to add a technology and fintech pavilion
WorldGaming, the new global brand of Clarion Gaming and organizer of international gaming industry trade shows, announced that it will expand ICE Barcelona 2027 with the launch of a Digital Transformation and FinTech Pavilion, developed in consultation with an advisory board of senior executives from the field of technology applied to gaming. The event, which will be held from January 18 to 20, 2027, will incorporate the new Hall 7 as a specialized space for the technologies that are transforming the industry.
The pavilion will cover topics ranging from artificial intelligence, data, and cloud infrastructure to cybersecurity, payments, regulatory compliance, and real-time customer interaction. According to the organization, it will showcase the systems and solutions that are now fundamental for operational performance, customer experience, and long-term growth, and will also feature its own conference program in the exhibition area, designed as a forum for those responsible for technological transformation to share best practices and discuss emerging challenges.
WorldGaming indicated that it seeks to attract new exhibitors from the broader technology ecosystem, alongside established specialists from the gaming industry, to reflect the growing convergence between gaming, enterprise technology, data, payments, and financial technology. Margaret Dunn, portfolio director for ICE Barcelona, stated that gaming companies are being transformed by the same forces that are redefining all major digital industries: cloud, data, artificial intelligence, payment innovation, cybersecurity, and real-time customer intelligence, functions which she considered essential for growth, resilience, compliance, and customer experience.
To ensure that the new space addresses sector priorities, WorldGaming created an advisory board composed of executives from the gaming, technology, artificial intelligence, product, data, and financial technology areas, which will help define the content of the conference program, the exhibitor proposition, and the visitor experience. Its members include, among others, Chris Conroy from Future Anthem, Cris Kuehl from Continent 8 Technologies, Cristina Turbatu, former CTO of Casumo, Elena Rousseva from Playtech Services, Iulia Bolea and Manuel Pardavila from Microsoft, Konstantinos Papakonstantinou from Kaizen Gaming, Satty Bhens from Entain, Sergey Kastukevich from SOFTSWISS, and Yiannis Stavroulakis from Novibet. According to Dunn, the strength of the board reflects the importance of the initiative and contributes to building a solutions-oriented pavilion focused on the challenges that technology leaders face every day.
