Sportradar renews Wimbledon partnership, securing official tennis data
The Swedish sports data provider Sportradar has sealed a multi-year extension to the agreement that keeps it as the exclusive global distributor of official data and audiovisual betting rights for Wimbledon. The renewal signed with the All England Club strengthens a partnership that came to the company through the acquisition of IMG Arena, completed in 2025, and which now extends far beyond the 2026 season.
The agreement covers both the main draw of The Championships and the qualifying phase, and includes the capture, validation, and distribution of real-time match data for sportsbooks, iGaming operators, and technology platforms. Sportradar already distributes over 40,000 tennis matches per year to its global client base, a volume that positions this sport as one of the pillars of the provider's live data business.
Micro-betting, Integrity, and New Live Products
The extension aims to deepen the integration of official data into betting and fan engagement products, focusing on the expansion of player markets and micro-betting powered by Sportradar's proprietary odds. For operators, the appeal lies in building more granular experiences, capable of offering odds on every point, game, or set, without relying on unofficial feeds that often fall outside the regulatory umbrella.
Another key aspect of the agreement is integrity. Wimbledon will join Sportradar's monitoring circuit to detect suspicious betting patterns, an increasingly relevant layer in massive tournaments that coexist with a parallel market of unlicensed operators. For the All England Club, the guarantee of a single official feed reduces the risk of manipulation and reinforces the traceability of every movement linked to the competition.
The move comes at a time when the global sports data industry is concentrating around a few providers with exclusive agreements over major properties. Wimbledon, along with the other three Grand Slam tournaments, remains one of the most coveted assets by sportsbooks, especially for its appeal to high-value players who bet live during long and volatile matches.
For Latin America and emerging markets, the news has a direct correlation. Operators who are just starting their operations in Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, or Ecuador depend almost entirely on providers like Sportradar to access reliable feeds on international tournaments. The consolidation of Wimbledon's official rights in a single company strengthens those who already integrate its technology and puts pressure on regional regulators to demand the use of certified data as part of licensing standards, in line with what already happens in more mature markets.
