BETBY combines slots and live sports with the launch of SlotBets
A three-pointer, a two-pointer, a missed shot, or a foul can take the place of a symbol on a reel. Based on this idea, BETBY created SlotBets, a proposal that links slot machine mechanics with the real action of a live sports event, and which the company presents as its own content category, SlotBets Games, under a term it coined itself: slotbetting.
The difference from sports-themed casino games lies in the origin of the result. Instead of relying on a random number generator, SlotBets takes events that occur during a real competition and converts them into the elements of the round. Each round lasts 15 seconds and unfolds as the match progresses.
Basketball was the sport chosen to debut the format through SlotBasketball. There, the 15 seconds are divided into three five-second windows associated with three reels, and each records the highest-value event produced in its period, which can be a three-pointer, a two-pointer, a missed shot, a foul, or even an interval without action. When the cycle closes, the three reels form a combination, and matching results generate payouts according to the game's paytable, with multipliers and complementary features always based on what happens on the court. Interruption moments also count through a Pause Bonus, which allows certain eligible pauses to provide an additional multiplier.
Kirill Nekrasov, Head of Innovation and R&D at BETBY, explained that the development started from a question about accessibility: why should a casino player become a sports betting expert to enjoy betting on sports? He stated that they were looking for something that was instantly understandable but truly driven by the live event, so that the sport would not be merely a decorative element around casino mechanics. He also suggested that the ambition goes beyond launching a product because the category can develop its own mechanics, terminology, and expectations, as happened with crash games in their time.
The offering will also extend to 24/7 esports content, with planned titles such as eSlotSoccer, eSlotCricket, eSlotHockey, and eSlotPingPong, designed to cover periods of lower activity in the traditional sports calendar.
From the operator's side, integration is resolved via iFrame, and the product can be located within the sportsbook, the casino, or both spaces, with an interface based on common slot machine elements that also opens up the possibility of bringing it to physical establishments. The company proposes another possible use in match trackers, currently intended for passive match monitoring, which could become interaction points linked to the event's actions.
