SBC Summit Rio 2026 prepares to welcome thousands of industry leaders
With less than a week until its start, the organization of the SBC Summit Rio 2026 has confirmed that everything is ready to welcome thousands of operators, affiliates, and professionals from the sports betting, online casino, payments, and regulatory sectors. The event, which will take place from March 3 to 5 at the Riocentro convention center, comes at a time of unprecedented maturity for the Brazilian ecosystem, consolidating itself as the definitive space to analyze the lessons learned from the first year of the regulated market and to outline the commercial strategies that will define the rest of the year.
Since its launch in 2024, the summit has experienced rapid growth, achieving a 200% increase in attendance in its previous edition, which earned it recognition as "Exhibition Growth of the Year" at the EN Indy Awards 2025. SBC CEO and founder, Rasmus Sojmark, has highlighted that the conversation for this third year is much more nuanced, focusing on regulatory clarity and the need for a real dialogue between public policymakers and the operators who execute strategies on the ground.
A high-level academic agenda with over 150 experts
The educational component of the event is one of its most robust pillars, with over 150 speakers spread across three simultaneous conference stages. Delegates will be able to delve into critical areas such as leadership, technological innovation, and affiliate marketing. Among the most relevant technical topics are managing speed and preventing fraud in the PIX payment system, navigating CONAR's advertising regulations and digital platform rules, as well as preparing for potential tax changes and jurisdiction debates.
One of the most anticipated moments will be the participation of Chris Kypriotis, former global vice president and CEO of Nike Brazil, who will explain how high-performance sports cultures translate into sustainable business results. Likewise, renowned streamer Aruan Felix will share his vision on audience growth mechanisms, authenticity in content creation, and the keys to monetization in the dynamic Brazilian market driven by influencers.
First-class institutional and regulatory presence
The relevance of the SBC Summit Rio 2026 is reflected in the participation of the highest Brazilian authorities. On Wednesday, March 4, the exclusive keynote "The Making of a Regulated Market" will take place, featuring Daniele Correa Cardoso, interim secretary of Prizes and Betting at the Ministry of Finance, and Giovanni Rocco, national secretary of Sports Betting at the Ministry of Sport. Both officials will offer an internal perspective on the current supervision and inspection processes in the country.
This panel is joined by high-ranking representatives from fundamental institutions for the integrity of the sector, such as the Council for Financial Activities Control (COAF), the Federal Police of Brazil, the Superior Court of Justice, and the National Council for Advertising Self-Regulation (CONAR). From the private industry, leaders such as Almir Ribeiro (BetMGM), Cassio Filter (KTO), Guilherme Figueiredo (Betano), and JD Duarte (Betcris) will share their operational experiences in the regulated market.
